Tour Description
Day 1
After a 7:30am departure from Brisbane, we travel past the Glass House Mountains to the sunshine coast region to arrive at one of Australia's best seaside playgrounds at Noosa Heads. Crossing the Noosa River by ferry, we join the Coloured sands of Cooloola Beach then travel many kilometres along the beach to the "Cherry Venture" wreck.
We venture over Double Island Point to the Coloured sands, a wonderful beach and cliff area, decorated by ochreous coloured sands to Rainbow Beach. We now travel along the beach to Inskip Point joining the barge to cross to Fraser Island World Heritage area.
Overnight: Eurong Beach Resort
Day 2
Today we start our exploration of Fraser Island by heading northwards along the great Eastern shoreline known as Seventy Five Mile Beach. We visit the famous Maheno Wreck, Eli Creek, Champagne Pools, the Pinnacles and Waddy Point, which are all of great historical and picturesque interest. Arrival late afternoon at our resort.
Overnight: Eurong Beach Resort
Day 3
Today we continue our adventure on Fraser Island by touring to Lake Birrabeen and Lake Boomanjin - which is the world's largest perch lake. From here we travel to Central Station that's surrounded by an abundance of rainforest, wildlife and many freshwater streams, making this our stop for lunch. After lunch we travel to the crystal clear Lake McKenzie. We have time now to enjoy a relaxing swim and sit on the brilliant white sands surrounding the lake.
Overnight: Eurong Beach Resort
Day 4
We take a morning walk into the unique Lake Wabby, a lake that is being overtaken 1 metre per year by an enormous sand-blow. Lake Wabby is the deepest and most picturesque lake on the Island.
Departing the island, the tour comes to a conclusion when we reach Brisbane, where we will drop off passengers at their inner city motel or airport.
