Additional Information
A pay on board levy of $30.00pp comprimising of Civil Aviation insurance, landing fee and part recovery of public risk insurance premiums and government taxes and charges is applicable. Avoid wearing white or light coloured clothing.
A $5.00 per person Pay on Board fee for insurance charges, Cairns Port Authority per passenger levies, fuel surcharges, government taxes and charges and administration charges is payable on the day of travel.
Important: - Ballooning is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant.
- It is a CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) regulation that you are able to climb in and out of the basket unassisted

- What to bring:
- Ballooning: Warm clothes in the winter months, but do NOT where light coloured clothing as its easily stained by the volcanic soil - Camera or Video Camera - Hat and comfortable shoes (no high heels) Fitzroy Island: Towel, swimming costume, sunscreen, hat.

Tour Description
On day one the sun rises your pilots gently lift off and quietly glide the balloons over the panorama of the Cairns Highlands (also known as the Atherton Tablelands).
Let Raging Thunder introduce you to the safe and exciting sport of ballooning, in a spectacular dawn trip which highlights the diverse eco-culture of the Cairns region.
Afterwards you are treated to a wonderful breakfast at our outback venue, before being returned to your accommodation or Kuranda with plenty of time to enjoy other tours in the same day.

On day two take the Fitzroy Flyer catamaran departs from A Finger at the Marlin Marina ( check in is at the Reef Fleet Terminal ) and takes just 45 minutes via the coastline, to arrive on beautiful Fitzroy Island with 5 hours to explore this tropical paradise..
Fitzroy Island is one of 600 "Continental" or "High" islands on the Great Barrier Reef which means it used to be part of the mainland before rising waters separated this tranquil paradise. Over time a fringing coral reef surrounded the island, providing a sheltered home for a variety of fish and coral species. The ferry cruise to the island by fast catamaran takes only 45 minutes, keeping to the calm waters of the coastline and passing spectacular scenery along the way.
The beach hire hut has a range of snorkelling gear hire, plus they can book you on the glass bottom boat tour. From here you can also hire a paddle ski and explore Welcome Bay, or try the fun of the Ocean Trampoline.
