Tour Description
Journey to the “end of the road” as we make our way through the Huon Valley and south to Cockle Creek at the edge of Recherche Bay. Here is the South West National park and the end of the most southern road in Australia. Take a short walk to the Whale sculpture or have a quiet swim while enjoying the serenity this bay provides. After a short drive to Hastings Caves we take a guided tour 40 meters underground with National Parks Staff through these spectacular Dolomite caves that began forming millions of years ago. After the tour we have time for a swim in the Thermal Pool (fed by pure spring water at 28 degrees year round) or a walk in the surrounding reserve to look for a platypus. The day is finished with a stop at the Apple Museum in the heart of the Huon Valley.
