Tour Description
The West MacDonnell Ranges are a mighty mountain range -their majesty takes you by surprise. We bus alongside these amazing ranges all day stopping at beautiful gorges and waterholes. Enjoy a refreshing swim at Ormiston Gorge or Ellery Creek Big Hole in the warmer months
Emu Run collect you from outside your Alice Springs accommodation at 7.30am.
Spectacular outback scenery and photo opportunities await as we bus along the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at Historic sites, beautiful walks at: Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm (morning tea), the Ochre Pits, and Ormiston Gorge for lunch and walk or swim. Next stop is Glen Helen, and on our way back we visit Ellery Creek Big hole ( afternoon tea). Ellery Creek Big Hole is one of Central Australia's most pristine waterholes, so don't forget your swimmers in the warmer months!
You will see the ranges "light up" in brilliant oranges and reds as we return into Alice Springs at Sunset.
