Tour Description

A superb six-day tour encompassing the spectacular southern region of Western Australia. Includes magnificent beaches, remarkable rock formations, hill climbs, lush forests, caving, seasonal wildflowers and wineries.

• Six whole days of fun and excitement

• Visit a huge number of iconic sites throughout the area

• Wildflowers and wildlife aplenty

• Experience panoramic scenery from every angle

This fun-filled adventure departs Perth at around 6:45 am from the Wellington Tourist Coach Stand and heads south. After stopping for a lovely morning tea and to admire the 1.8-kilometre-long Busselton Jetty, you will then be off to explore Ngilgi Cave, rich in aboriginal history, telling a story between the god & the bad spirits. Another stop, thanks to nature, is the Canal Rocks, ancient rock formation caused by the Indian Ocean. Next stop is a visit to a working farm where you will see sheep being shorn & sheep dogs in action. Sample locally produced wines and visit a pottery centre on the way to the Margaret River Township for some quality free time. Perhaps buy some of the wonderful local produce! Travel through the beautiful Boranup Forest to your accommodation at the Augusta Hotel Motel.

After a hearty breakfast, you are off to visit Surfers Point Lookout for a peek at the world famous surf beach. Next up a great photo opportunity, stand on the most south western point of Australia at Cape Leeuwin. While here, visit the fabulous waterwheel and lighthouse. A special trip through the very old karri eucalypt forest of Karri Valley, where trees can grow to 60 metres tall. Witness the spectacular wildflowers of the season or climb Bicentennial Tree for an extra bit of adventure. Trout fish, swim, take a scenic easy one hour walk or just relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. There are many options to suit everyone. Your accommodation for the night is at the Karri Valley Resort and dinner is a traditional barbeque.

A new day of wonderful scenery & experiences await you. First up is the Giant Tingle Tree in the Valley of the Giants. Stroll the spectacular Tree Top Walk on a canopy boardwalk, 40 metres above the forest floor. Everything really does look different from up here. The walk continues on through the Ancient Empire, a lovely walk for those who want to do it. Perhaps you would prefer leisurely swim or take a walk at Greens Pool or Elephant Rocks.

View the rugged, craggy coastline of Natural Bridge and The Gap, then climb Mt Clarence for the sensational panoramic vista surrounding Albany, your home for the evening. .A delicious dinner and accommodation awaits you at the Albany motel.

This morning we travel to Mt Romance Sandalwood Factory. You won’t be able to resist buying some to take home. Next, we go to the ancient, mystical, granite formation of Porongurup Range, home to 1,000 specie of flowering plants & 75 species of birds. It is here you will see the precarious Balancing Rock and Tree Rock or you may want to climb Castle Rock. After morning tea, it is time for wine tasting! We will travel through the Stirling Ranges to Bluff Knoll for a perfect picnic lunch. A big morning! Your accommodation and sumptuous dinner for the night is at the Esperance Motel.

On day five, you can choose between a relaxing day strolling, swimming and shopping in Esperance, or have a visit to Cape Le Grand National Park to admire the breathtaking views from Frenchman’s Peak. Another option is to take a relaxing swim at Lucky Bay and watch for the local dolphins and kangaroos. You return to Esperance and re-join your group for some free time before dinner and overnight stay at Esperance Motel.

Your journey home takes in the famous Wave Rock, another of nature’s masterpieces! After Wave Rock, continue to walk to another rock called Hippos Yawn, and walk into the throat of the rock so named because it looks like a Hippo yawning! You then return to your original pickup location, arriving in Perth at approximately 6 pm.
